Prompt payment at the end of each clinical session in May inappropriate for many therapists. Too many private practitioners do not ask for money, and instead rely on what I call the "hope and pray" method to get paid.
As the clock starts winding down on the session, therapists begin to send prayers in the hope that their client did not remember to bring their checkbook or credit card.
I found the safe storage of credit cards each customer is the best way for a therapist to ensurepayment and to avoid serious discussions at the end of each session.
Here is a list of income plus the benefits associated with holding the credit card on a client file:
SECURE PAYMENT
Peace of mind that will ensure you pay each time someone sits on your coach or a phone call, that will go far. Say "goodbye" at the time of balance, because the customer forgot my checkbook!
Easy Bill MissedAppointments
When your customers know they will automatically be charged for late cancels and no shows do not call to cancel the contract without giving adequate notice again.
Avoid constantly talking about money
There is no reason to discuss the payment when you see the client, unless the money is to be a therapeutic problem. Even if the master art of collecting payments on each session - a more effective and less intrusive to loadthere!
Avoid sliding Cards
If you slide the card in front of your customers are difficult for you, believe me, it's twice as uncomfortable for your guests. Avoid it all together and treat the payment outside of your clinical time with a customer using a credit card that is stored in a secure folder.
Do not forget to save the customer card does well by being paid less difficult. How is it that no payment problems in the way clinical work you!
